Arsenio’s Business English Podcast | Season 6: Episode 37 | Is The Internet Bad?

Because of big tech companies and social media giants, all of which are clamping down on disinformation, older generations are pointing fingers at why the internet is so bad. Conspiracy theory-pushing YouTube channels have a free-flowing cesspool of comments stating, “I got off social media 3 months ago; best decision I’ve ever made.” Yet, you’re still on social media, on YouTube, commenting and sharing your opinion?

There are two sides of a talisman that you must pick up every day — PMA and NMA. One is being positive and the other one is being negative. The ample amount of opportunity that’s readily available to everyone who knows a specific skill online — is something we’ve never had in our past.

If you could fully utilize and use the inter, social media platforms and other pieces of technology to help better humanity, then you wouldn’t be part of the pity party.

{Patreon Special} Arsenio’s Business English Podcast | Season 7: Episode 4 | Work-life Balance

It’s so hard to discuss what work-life balance is, but with the dangerous culture of “hustle and close your eyes for ten years while working extremely hard,” it needs to be discussed. The burnout culture is real….so if you want to dive deeper into that, make sure you check out my personal development podcast. Nonetheless, I think freedom of choice is absolutely the most important thing towards building happiness. With choice, you can turn down things, say when you’re not going in, deny projects, and learn to just say NO. In today’s podcast, we’ll be diving into EVERYTHING.

Podcast will debut to the public on May 25th, or get Early Access for $5 a month and view dozens of other podcasts, including this one!

Arsenio’s Business English Podcast | Season 7: Episode 3 | LinkedIn & Social Media

We’re back! Has connecting with people on LinkedIn ever presented new business opportunities? On LinkedIn, it’s a hit-or-miss market. Last year, I was supposed to start a new short stories series with a voice coach from Jordan, but after being stood up a couple times with zero communication, it failed.

However, did that make me put my guard up and never communicate with people anymore? No.

This year, I’ve connected with the phenomenal Lisa Catto, who appeared in a book I was reading. A wonderful Business English language teacher and solopreneur from Canada, and an international school teacher from Jordan….all through Linkedin, and just recently, I’ve connected with business coaches from Brazil, Turkey, and Chile.

Social media and LinkedIn could be either positive or negative — and it solely depends on the end-user.

Today’s Business English podcast is about that! Early Access ($5 a month) gets you all scheduled podcasts and $30 gets you templates, podcasts, webinars, and 1-hour of business English coaching!

{Patreon Special} Arsenio’s Business English Podcast | Season 7: Episode 2 | How Important is Networking?

From a perspective of a teacher, it really all depends. I networked within a company and landed some massive opportunities 5 years ago, but I was confined just to that company. When I began networking, presenting at different companies, and became the number 1 trainer in regards to Business English in Bangkok, Thailand, that’s when I got follows and job opportunities from people I had never met before.

From a podcasting perspective, back in 2019, that’s the last year whereas I networked with over 80 entrepreneurs, having just a mere 4 on my friend’s list today (lol). But the amazing insights I got throughout the course of those two years were phenomenal.

How important is networking in your company? In today’s podcast, we’re going to hear from a Belgian, Norwegian and Spaniard.

Arsenio’s Business English Podcast | Season 6: Episode 33 | Airports & My Favorite Airports in The World

When it comes to Asia, they have the best airports in the world and it’s not even close.  Compared to the western world, Asian airports put them to shame.  For instance, Changi International in Singapore is literally 30 years ahead of its time — that’s how great it is! However, there are some airports that fall way below average in Asia such as KLIA2 in Malaysia, Vientiane’s stereotyping (which affects customer service), and the shambolic international airport in Ho Chi Minh City.  So, what are your three most important perks for an airport and your three least — listen to the podcast to find out what type of perks there actually are!

{Patreon Special} Arsenio’s Business English Podcast | Season 6: Episode 39 | Asking for Help: Presentations

Taking the plunge means just diving in the deep — if you know how to swim. I’ve taken many plunges in my life, and one of the first biggest presentations I had ever done was at SCG in 2016 when I had to host an email writing workshop with another colleague in front of a group of 85 posh (lol) employees. That was nerve-racking, but after 5 minutes, I eased into it. Since then, I’ve been on TV (BIDC), TOEIC workshop in front of 300 university students, HR Managers at top banks, etc. So, if you’re one of those people who do have an upcoming presentation, how can you ask for help? Tune in!

{Patreon Special} Arsenio’s Business English Podcast | Investment | The Importance of Diversification

If you have all of your assets in one market, if a downturn happens, such as what happened at the beginning of COVID, there could be a ridiculous amount of problems with your portfolio. For example, a Bangkok Bank Executive who I used to train would come in, every morning, right before COVID, and tell me that he had lost tens of thousands of dollars because the Stock Exchange of Thailand fell flat on its face.

So, how can you have diversification not only in assets but also in income management? Tune in!
