Wheel of Life: August 2019 – Stardom Begins!

I was watching TD Jakes recently and he said, “I never meant to be famous; I just wanted to make an impact.” Shortly after, notorious Washington Post (vile) wrote an article about him, completely defacing him of everything he represented (welcome to America — the House of Pain). See, I knew it was going to get to this point. When I was making my personal development podcasts in 2017, to the explosion of my ESL podcast in 2018/2019…..when I took the stage at the Bangkok International Digital Content Festival, I knew my life would change forever. As I was pacing, and using a variety of language to captivate onlookers, I didn’t know (and still don’t know today) how impactful my presentation was, but in my mind, I created that eventful Friday at Marriott Marquis Queens Park, a day in which I met app developers from all over the world. Here’s to the BIG ONE!

If you guys don’t already know, I was recently talking to another female entrepreneur (age of 19) who also spoke about the Wheel of Life. If it’s your first time viewing this blog, it’s time to begin and assess your life in the following categories and from number 1-10.

Personal Development – 10

Couldn’t be grateful enough. Those moments of struggle have paid off. I now value myself on such a level I KNEW I would achieve, but it was a struggle.

Wheel of Life: March 2019 Edition – HERE IT COMES!

Boy, I woke up from a nap in the afternoon and realized that I had forgotten my wheel of life podcast! HEARTBREAKING!

Rest assured, I’ve delivered it and it’s time to kick things off!

So for those of you tuning in for the first time, you’re probably asking yourselves, “what is the wheel of life podcast?”

Perfect question.

Rate yourself on a scale 1-10 in the following categories.

  • Personal Development
  • Physical Environment
  • Wealth
  • Health
  • Career
  • Romantic Relationships
  • Family and Friends
  • Fun & Hobbies

Personal Development – 9

Yes, I have ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ in my ear, along with reading books and just injecting myself with so much information that can be extremely vital. However, there’s room for improvement.

For instance, my morning routine, which is always interrupted by my habit of picking up my phone, isn’t the best. I don’t do meditation as often and I don’t listen to affirmations in the morning. However, look at my self-awareness!

Physical Environment – 10

Quiet, cozy, conveniently located condominium and jobs that I enjoy going to. I don’t wake up in the morning saying, “ahhh I have this student or this job today.” That’s not in my vocabulary. I’m beyond content with what’s happening.

Romantic Relationships – X

You already know what this is. It’s been happening forever, but maybe because I’m so focused on achieving greatness in my personal life (with my career)

Circle of Friends (Family & Friends) – 8

I haven’t made that many contacts this month. I tried reaching out and I’ve also heard some amazingly inspiring stories, but it’s still not good enough. I have a ridiculously solid core around me, but then I’m let down because people can’t keep their agreements. So, I shoo them away and put them on the outside so that if they do leave again or do something that causes a disruption, I will have shrugged my shoulder and say “good riddance.”

Fun & Hobbies – 7

Yes, Malaysia, which was probably the most disappointing trip I’ve had since going to Laos (and for the last time) last year, did happen…but it’s nothing to brag about.

I filled in my Monday schedule again with more work after promising myself that Monday would be a core/meet friends day. I’m still cancelling people because I would much rather sleep than develop a relationship. See, lots of inner voices are still running rampant and I’m trying to control them.

Career – 10

Patreon to monetize my English language courses, UDEMY for the pronunciation course, business writing development for a client that’s going to score me my biggest ever salary, and so many other things. Yes, I haven’t been connecting and I’ve pressed “stop” on all interviewees (especially on my personal development podcast), but I’m more focused on the bigger picture now.

More in the podcast down below!

Wheel of Life: January 2019 Edition – The Calm Before Freedom

Boy, for a moment, I was scared as hell. After a huge scare at a job where a woman no longer wanted me to buy lunch, I overanalyzed the situation and scampered off without using their Grab taxi service, it taking 2-hours to get home…and it was a very good two hours because I was able to think things through.

On the train I reapplied for some jobs that I used to work for. After seeing one of the best jobs (a place where there were a number of mentors) advertising in the same area as my primary job, I quickly sent an email to the director, who I hadn’t spoken to in ages, and he responded in 10 minutes, completely ecstatic.

See, if you place all your eggs in one basket, such as what Americans do and have done for a long time, you could be in trouble. If I relied on the big job opportunity in February, only for it to not work, then what? I would’ve been defeated.

Don’t wait!

Wealth – 6

My goal this month was to create bigger opportunities. I was recently talking to a friend of mine and we chatted about having to work long hours to achieve so much, but now an achieve the same price in just an hour or two.

That was my motto this year. Stop chasing SHORT-TERM MONEY. I’m done making small money. I was willing to shove aside potential job suitors, extra jobs, and focused solely on one thing — the big opportunity.

Business cards made, powerpoint ready, enthusiasm checked, and if I land this, I’ll be able to go back to small money and say (here’s your alternative…16 hours a week or I walk).

Health – 8.5

It’s very flattering for women to approach me and say “omg, you have a six-pack!” Ok, that happens primarily in the gym when I’m gasping for air, but you get the point. Never have I EVER had anyone approach me or tell me that my physique was on par. I know exactly who I am so I don’t need the compliments, but I’m really starting to push myself.

Mental Health? I still have those moments where I become immerse into a very toxic society where women grip their purses firmly while walking by. Resets must take place. What did I do? Lisa Nichols’ Abundance Now AUDIOBOOK. That’s right. I found it and I’ve been listening to it for four days already…this quickly turned off that negative frequency and I’ve officially overcome THAT world.

Career – 10

I finished my first project of the year — creating the TOEFL project that pushed me to making my first revenue online.

Motivational Mentors is coming together.

Delivered all my material for luke Burrow’s Grow2Gether Academy.

Now doing live interviews on my English Language page to rack in more views. But if we talking about the bigger picture, I’ve actually delegated two mundane tasks that I simply didn’t want to touch. While listening to a Pat Flynn podcast during my commute last Friday, it dawned on me that I should probably delegate more things to my content writer, Jiun, so I don’t have to worry so much about the rest. This would improve my ebook process and give me more time to focus on other things.

Since I did that, I had her create a Trello account, which is great to put all of our tasks on and in one place so we know what’s next, rather than messages that get pushed down on a routine basis. Since then, efficiency has gone up significantly.

Find things that work better for you, people!

Personal Development – 10

I’ve not only been reading a lot, but now that I realize audiobooks are more of my thing, I don’t waste ANY TIME. Personal Development, as always, is pure fire.

Physical Environment – 9.5

Home life and work life. How are they? Where I live is never a problem, and my working environment, which is about 4 places, is fine. I could be dumping off another environment real soon to make it even better. If I start to travel while coaching and training, this could be the biggest transformation in my life EVER.

Romantic Relationships – DISASTER

At the beginning of this year, a relationship fell apart. In the last three years, three relationships have fallen apart, but all of them have taught me something. Other than that, this is going to be a “relationship free year” for me.

Fun and Hobbies – 8

YES! Now that I’m not teaching erroneous hours anymore that give me little pay, I’ve injected “play-time” into my schedule. Please, check this out on next Thursday’s podcast.

  • What are you doing for fun?
  • Do you have “me” time? Or are you constantly hustling?
  • What hobbies do you have?
  •

Family and Friends/CIRCLE of friends – 8

I’ve created my own category called “the circle of friends” and this is because I don’t have family or friends. I have acquaintances on my outer circle and everyone else who’s of higher stature is in the inside because they’ve cemented their reliability.

All in all, people. I love doing this because it gives me so much awareness and I understand so much about myself in general — just because I’m able to to figure out what areas are hurting me. You should do the same, too!

Romantic/Human Relationships: Goals for 2019!

Oh, yes! How can I become a better boyfriend!

I can’t. Lol.  I’m single and I’ll remain this way for a very long-time.  However, looking back on my past relationships, there were some areas of improvement.

This is what relationships are about. Jack Canfield would ask his wife “how did I do today on a scale 1-10?”  She would give him a number and he would then ask, “how can I improve?”

However, that’s a bad technique because you will always aim for perfection….but no one is perfect, right?  Although asking for feedback in very important, you might develop the “everything I do is still not enough” attitude towards someone.

Another great technique I would implore to all of you would be what Darren Hardy does.  He actually sets an alarm for Friday at 6pm and then it goes off 48 hours later.  During these hours, he dedicates it entirely to his family.  That’s something that everyone is more than capable of doing, regardless of the workload.

I’m more sided with the Vishen Lakhiani quote.  He said, “there’s a bullshit myth that life revolves around hardwork and hustling.  I think this is dangerous as hell to accept because it’s crushing families and lives all around the globe.”

Yeah, I’m not with the Gary Vee bullshit.  His book “crushing it” has toppled charts and helped me alot, but the majority of the things he says right now his so self-loathing and ignorant that I no longer follow him.  Not that his 10 million followers would care, but I’ve graduated from Gary Vee for the simple fact that he’s too “work and money centered” whereas if people with marriages actually believe the shit that comes out of his mouth, their marriage will ultimately end.

For all of you out there who are in marriages/relationships…consider the following.

  1. Are we growing or are we dying? (JUST BE HONEST.  Do you see yourself going anywhere? Or is it just the same s*** year after year? Are you fully content? Is this relationship you’re in holding you back from doing great things? Just ask yourself).
  2. What can I do differently? How can I be more loving, caring, and build more of an intimate relationship?
  3. What messes have I not cleaned up? What did I repeat all year that she didn’t like (habits) and what should I do away with?
  4. What two things did I do everyday for the other half without being told to do it?

Me, relationships are a foregone conclusion.  I’m super content with my life right now, but maybe in the future someone will come about.

Ask yourself these questions and see what’s happening and where you can improve.

Fun & Hobbies: Goals for 2019!

Here we go! This is the first of the 8-part series that I’m launching in conjunction with what I did towards the end of last year.  I’m super excited with what’s happening and what has already happened, but I first need to go back to the beginning of the year and see what I said back in my previous blog post (one year ago).

What I said at the end of last year….

For Sures

  1. Indonesia
  2. Malaysia (possibly this month
  3. Kazakhstan + Kyrgyzstan

Potentials

  1. Australia (high chance)
  2. Hong Kong
  3. Taiwan
  4. Morocco (Tedx)

On-The-Ropes

  1. American Samoa
  2. Japan

Well, i got to Hong Kong, but not sure why I thought about going to Japan.  Australia was a high chance, but then with the visa problems and having to leave all the time this year, everything was completely destroyed.

  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • Laos
  • Malaysia
  • Hong Kong
  • Singapore
  • Laos

To be honest, 7 countries in a year was phenomenal.  However, were these real holidays? No.  Aside from the forgettable Hong Kong trip, Malaysia (both times) were the only legitimate holidays.  Singapore was fun both times, but I still didn’t venture out and do activities like I wanted to.  Was it because of budget problems? No, I simply didn’t want to treat it like a holiday at that time.  I was scared because I wasn’t sure where my income was coming from when I got back.

Now with 2019 on the horizon, I know not to overshoot what I plan on doing.

One of my goals, that coordinates with my career, is making more money in less time, and I’m establishing that at this moment in my life.  Building the connections and having big bankers all around Bangkok, on top of ex-teachers getting in contact with me in regards to big money work, will be game-changing.

I want to really dedicate more time to me. I’m sick of working past 6pm at a regular job, unless I’m getting paid over 100$ an hour to do so.  I don’t want to work long hours on weekend anymore, only to make a wage I’ve been making the last three years ON THE SAME WEEKEND.  I would much rather focus on my projects and FUN TIME.

New Activities? No Way! Spartans!

Aside from going to the zoo in Melbourne, Australia in late February (very close to booking this trip) and a few other things, Spartan races are still my fun and hobbies, although related to health.  Yes, I would love to do whitewater rafting and still go snowboarding in the snowfields of Hokkaido, but right now, that’s a bit on hold.  Mongolia/Egypt is surely on board.  I would like to take 2-3 massive trips this year and of course, my inaugural mini trips to Singapore, Malaysia, and the small resort island Bali, which is in Indonesia.

Wheel of Life: November 2018 Edition – Closing Out The Year STRONG!

What a year! I mean, I’m so excited to just dive right into the December version, but I’ll be doing a wide range of those coming up with other people in a “coaching style” consultation (TBD).  I’m super excited about going over another edition, a long standing tradition of evaluating my life on a month-to-month basis.  Here are the categories.

Since I don’t technically have friends, I’ve switched my category from the “friends” category to the “circle of friends” category.

Personal Development – 10

Scribd, which is a site I’m not getting paid from, offers a 3 month free trial of listening, downloading and reading online books and magazines. Brilliant idea that I wish I had come up with in the past.  Ha! Nonetheless, this has enabled me to listen to three chapters of a book which features Napoleon Hill interviewing Andrew Carnegie.  Chapter 3, the chapter I’m on right now, has been life-changing! Guys, check it out and see if it helps you. No more listening to music (unless you’re working out or in the mood) and start listening to books that will enable you to take your life to the next level!

Physical Environment – 9

Because where I live has always been great, the workplace can go up and down.  However, after getting an additional project in the heart of the CBD, two of my week nights are pure glory.

Romantic Relationships – ??

I’m not going to jinx anything right now; therefore, I will not spill any beans.

Health – 9

The Spartan Beast was a test of will. This was a race that scared the living hell out of me on mile mark 16km, and luckily I was able to finish the race.  The most difficult race, by far, since 2015 and I was able to overcome such a gauntlet.  I’m super proud.  I’ve stopped staring myself down in mirrors and now I’m focused for next February’s monster in Melbourne.

Wealth – 8

It could be better. Still grateful and consistently consistent, but nothing fantabulous. However, I’m sitting myself up for the greatest 2019.

Career – 10

I’ve connected with just about everyone.  I have people from Jersey, Ireland, and Romania who are coaches and so many other things.  With all the webinars that are being created, Academy that’s being developed and getting ready to launch in early January, and a handful of other things just makes it perfect.  Super grateful for the amount of great characters that have come into my life and partnerships that are developing at a rate that will up-level me and help me achieve my highest of goals!

Fun & Hobbies – 8

This is probably the highest I’ve ever had it.  I’m starting to enjoy my life more, and it’s because I’m working some days in the CBD rather than on the outskirts and until 9pm.  If I can finish work at 9pm, which I normally do a couple days a week, that gives me time to meet people, especially if I’m just outside reliable transportation. However, if I’m working in the depths of hell, which I normally do three nights a week, that cancels out any opportunity of meeting people.  Well, after a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and two friends coming in from Chiang Mai and Mongolia, December could be the first possible 10, starting off with a trip to Vientiane, Laos!

Circle of Friends – 8

Now, for many of you, this is the family and friends category.  However, for me, you already know this story.  I’m my own family and my best friend. There isn’t a soul that could save me if things fail. My circle of friends, on the other hand, have done some great things for me and have improved my mindset considerably.

Coaching Session #001: Figuring Out Where Your Depression is Coming From

It was a coaching session like no other; in fact it was with a significant language barrier in between the both of us.

I first received a message from one of the girls that works at a place I’m part-timing at. She said she wanted to talk to me about something serious, so I immediately thought  something went bad — AGAIN — at work in regards to a student.

However, that wasn’t the case.  Previously i had coached one of my colleagues to snap out of her depression, and it worked.  So, the second staff member approached me and it was time to be the coach.

I made her do the “Wheel of Life” podcast and she became aware of what was going on in her life.  On a scale 1-10, and rating 8 categories, her highest mark was seven, which didn’t make any sense.  So her outer feelings and what is going on in her life is very apparent.  Here’s what she had.

Health – 5 – low blood pressure, dizzy, tired quickly

Wealth – 3 – no car, home, business, can’t take care of mother,

Career – 1 – absent-minded, indecision

Personal Development – 0 – cannot create happiness

Physical Environment – 3 – high competition, selfishness

Fun & Hobbies – 0 – no time or money

Family & Friends 7 – friends are there but not all

Physical Environment – 4

Romantic Relationships – 4 – lots of negative feelings towards love (6 entries)

So, here is what she wrote down (via google translate), and as you scan see, it focuses primarily on what she doesn’t have.  There’s conditioning happening here, which is not unusual, but she’s holding onto a lot of past things that aren’t suitable anymore.

Health revolves around her personal development.  Tired quickly, gets dizzy, etc….there could be a massive deficiency on so many levels in terms of vitamins, nutrients, minerals — but remember — it’s not what you see on the surface.  It’s much deeper than that.

Wealth is a fixed mindset.  She focuses on things she doesn’t have that I don’t have.  I don’t have a car or own a home, either.  It all depends on preferences, and because she believes success relates to materialistic things, she thinks she’s a failure for not having these things.

Physical Environment, in a place where competition is very high and ignorance amongst her colleagues, of course she’s going to hate it.  Little money? Of course! But why do you continue doing something that gives you no ROI? Is she happy doing the job? No way.

What to do?

What are her beliefs? What negative beliefs does she have on the subjects above? She needs to write them down and then write down something outrageously opposite from her belief.  This is when it begins to change.  You have to get rid of all the “have nots and don’t haves” and turn them into positive, reassuring statements because the subconscious doesn’t know what’s right from wrong.  It just takes in everything you feel, and in her case, she feels like complete s***.

Put one good food into her diet a day. There are plenty of mood-boosting foods out there in the world.

Career is a toss-up.  I can’t ask her what she does, but she definitely needs to do the “how to find your life purpose” questionnaire to get somewhat guidance.

Hate your job? Time to change it.  Hate something else? Drop it.  I’m a super advocate for taking out negativity.  My workplace has become an unbearable environment to be in over the last couple of weeks because of petty stuff.  What have I done? Start looking for new work.  That’s the basis.  Is it long-term where you’re working? Ok, you need to pay the bills….keep doing that, but never take ignorant bosses berating you over your sanity.  If that happens, goodbye.  Trust me, you will find something when you stop a herd of negativity from coming into your life.

Wheel of Life: September 2018 Edition – Grateful!

Period! Need I say more? Man, just looking back on some things that have happened at the beginning of this year and last year.  You know, some time around December, I remember going to a fitness class in the heart of Bangkok and seeing two Australian Air Force personnel and meeting them.  They were so happy and content, and the first time I met them, I opened up about moving to Bangkok and sharing them my story in terms of dealing with all the shenanigans of my last job.

I recall sharing other stories with the likes of personal trainers and I was under such distressed, completely unaware of what was going to happen in the future.  After contacting Chilean teaching headhunters and other corporations, I decided to possibly venture out and get out of Thailand.  Going back and forth with a place that was barely giving me any work because the vindictive revenge that they had in mind, I needed to get the hell outa there.

I got some part-time jobs here and there.  Two women, who were nice at the beginning of the year, helped me with March-May because of teaching TOEFL iTP at their small testing center.  I accepted a contract that I thought was steep (initially but it ended up being complete bullshit) and worked way outside Bangkok with another guy that looks 89 years old.  I had another side gig at a place that I found quite enjoyable (teaching a doctor) in an area that was just beautiful (but takes 1.5 hours to get home).  You guys understand, now.  The beginning of this year was tough.  It was bleak.  I got two jobs through emails and then turned down because the students wanted a “white” teacher.  I began applying for jobs in Malaysia, Tunisia, France, Spain, etc.  Lots of different offers were coming in, but I kept at it and stayed strong here.  Guess what? It all paid off.

Nonetheless, I just want to review the hardships because that’s where the primary growth takes place.  I never learn from seemingly non-stop success.  So to see myself on what looks like the pillar of success, is the greatest thing that has ever happened.  I’m humble, but here’s my Wheel of Life.

Traveling Pod: Episode 8 – Head-Scratching Trip

Boy, documenting means everything because I can show everyone what I see what my own eyes.  Hooves of pigs hanging from shops, chicken feet right there on the sidewalk, an dan insane stench around every corner of the street.

What I just realized is as I’m writing this, I see a puff of black smoke that was let off by a passing by ship.  This relates to us descending in Hong Kong just yesterday.  As we were going down, we were going through a heavy amount of yellow smoke.  I thought it was dirty clouds (lol), but in fact, that was the smoke either from China, or the pollution from these ships.  AMAZING.

I walked into McDonalds (yes, after seeing what I mentioned above, I just want something that’s familiar) to buy some food and they were acting very odd.  I mean you can’t expect much apparently with customer service in any part of HK or China in general, but the cashier was so terrified to touch my hand when I was giving her change.  She pulled back her hand more and more and I was just dumbstruck at the whole ordeal.  After that, there was a man behind the counter who slammed my soda and my bag on the counter before slamming the piece of paper.

Just weird stuff. I’ve never seen any of this happen before in my life.  It’s all very new to me.  It doesn’t make them good or bad people, but after that happened, I sought refuge at my hotel and didn’t leave for the rest of the night.

I’m a little scared to go around at the moment, just because the amount of weird looks and things I’ve been seeing in general.  So, to reset my mind and everything that has happened, I decided to stay in for the evening and just relax. I don’t want to see anyone or anything for the rest of the day, do some meditation and working on me — just as I do continuously out there in my home in Thailand. So, let’s hope the next one to my travel blog is much better.

Ramble of Positivity: Episode XXVII – Off to Hong Kong for Holiday!

Here we go! Number 5 and a lot has happened!

In my podcast, I talked about the journey yesterday that I went through; going for literally the Airport Link, to my hotel (which shouldn’t have been a problem, but given the fact it’s Thailand, logistics are the biggest problem).

Well, from the shuttle bus ride at the hotel, which was excellent and efficient, to getting to the airport, checking in, going through security (never a problem) and passport control (always a problem — but not at this airport)….here I am!

I never thought in a million years that I would be going to Hong Kong.  Like out of all the places I’ve been to, Hong Kong wasn’t on the list.  In saying that, I believe it’s going to be memorable.

Cathay Pacific was written down on my 101 Goals list 3 years ago.  I’ve always wanted to fly them, and now today is another day I get to highlight my goal book.

I know exactly where I’m going once i get to HK, and thanks to Kloosk, which is a telephone provider, I’ll be able to access my phone straightaway to help me out in terms of where to go.

Potential Friends? Just maybe! Hong Kong, out of all the places I’ve been to, has to be the most difficult in terms of meeting people.  Before I travel, it’s always good to try to meet the locals on various chatting platforms.  HK, just like Japan, Korea, and China, is next to impossible to meet someone.

So, here we go! Heading to a country with lots of fascinating pictures, videos, stories, and conversations.  Be sure to tune into my social media platforms for more!
