What’s your Inspiration?

First time I came to Thailand, I was put in such a crazy, uncomfortable position. Seeing green rivers covered in days/weeks/months old trash, the way people were looking at me (which ended up being a huge foreshadow of things to come); nevertheless, I saw the ultra-gorgeous, lush green vegetation towering over turquoise waters down below.

Was this inspiration? Not necessarily, but this was the beginning of my journey.

Vietnam – 2016

After visiting the Remnants War Museum in HCMC, I saw the absolutely destruction of what the United States Military did to Vietnamese people, also known as “communists.” I stood next to a Chinook (ironically named after a tribe of Native American Indians — a group which that was wiped out by the colonizers), and then switched to a heavy-artillery propeller. A plaque read, “this machine causes mass damage and casualties in Vietnam.” I then glanced up and said, “you’ve killed so many people.”

I took a step back, clicked on the photos app in my phone and deleted all the militaristic garbage from my phone. When I went inside and went up 5 floors of anguish and hell, it caused so much grief. I saw my friend tearing up, who was Vietnamese, and all my life I’ve been told to respect a military.

Not anymore.

I was going to @ Borack Obama and all United States military channels and berate them words of hell. Never again have I saluted, represented or mention the military anymore and I never will again.

Innocent people in Laos are still dying today because the bombs that were dropped 45 years ago.

Americans would say, “look at the brightside,” I would say, “well, with how pooly you treated blacks, and with the Native American genocide, you’re now depicting us as the monsters….but in fact, no one knows about what you’ve done.”

I didn’t make it a mission to expose anglo-America/Europe for their genocides that wreaked havoc around the world, but I did want to give back. Seeing the children, the photos of my friend teaching at poor schools in the war-torn, ravaged middle of Vietnam…..I found my inspiration.

No one deserved to have anyone come in their house and kill them, but in saying all of that, Vietnamese people of BOTH SIDES came together after the war and has coexisted to this day. What I saw was an inspiration for me to give back — to come back to Vietnam, and to help people who desperately need help.

Laos – 2018

I was approached by an amazing manager of a hotel who had sent me a number of whatsapp messages, wanting to know about my arrival. I arranged a taxi and a few other services with the hotel. It delivered (although loud from music), but the hospitality was amazing compared to other places. The manager of the hotel invited me for drinks at night and took me to a wonderful noodle shop before my flight.

He invited me to come back and to volunteer at a poor school about 1.5 hours outside of the main city.

This was my dream. This brings more happiness then making 5k-10k per month. This is true fulfillment.

Finding my inspiration. It dealt with a lot. Seeing poverty, seeing death, but also seeing my soul open up to the masses out there. People need my voice, and that’s why I created it.

Positive Mental Attitude: Season 2 – Episode 19 – Dump The Guilt

“And the great psychologist Sigmund Freud says: “The further our work proceeds and the deeper our knowledge of the mental life of neurotics penetrates, the more clearly two new factors force themselves upon our notice which demand the closest attention as sources of resistance…. They can both be included under the one description of ‘need to be ill’ or ‘need to suffer.’…The first of these two factors is the sense of guilt or consciousness of guilt…
And Sigmund Freud is right. For feelings of guilt have motivated men to destroy their lives, mutilate their bodies, or injure themselves in other ways to atone for their wrongdoing. Now today, fortunately, such methods are seldom practiced. And they are not permitted in civilized countries. Yet their counterpart can be found. For the conscious mind may not feel guilty but the subconscious mind does.”

A good example of guilty people would be the military, most notably the USA Military.  They have so much guilt on their conscious to the point when they go home, they can’t adapt.  They have PTSD, followed by flashbacks of being in war and they’re never able to get over it.  Sometimes they have to kill children and women for whatever pressured reason it may be (insurgency).  This is a difficult guilt to come across.

However, if you’re dealing with guilt because of what happened in the past relationship, friendship, job or anything…it’s going to kill you — literally.

Living with that particular burden on your chest is something that forms regret.  Regret is poison.  I have no guilt for what has happened with my family and the way things are now.  It’s way out of my control.  I have no guilt for the things I’ve said about past teachers  because it’s all the truth.  I don’t have ANY guilt for words towards Thai women because it’s the truth and what I’ve experienced, first-hand, with my own eyes.

If you’re saying, “I wish I could’ve done __________,”….stop.  Instead, say “I’m glad I did this because I learned by……….”

“A guilt feeling can teach you consideration for others. Consideration for others is a quality each of us has to learn to develop. The new-born babe cares little for the comfort and convenience of anyone else. He wants what he wants when he wants it. So right at that point in his development he begins to learn, little by little, that there are others alive, too, and that, to some extent at least, he will have to allow them some consideration. But selfishness is a common human trait, and it lessens in each of us only through development. When we get old enough to understand that such feelings are not good, we feel a twinge of guilt when we indulge in selfishness. This is good for it causes us to think twice when the occasion arises and we can choose between pleasing ourselves or pleasing others concerned.”

“To get rid of that guilt feeling, get into action! Sometimes people get caught in a web of wrongdoing, and they seem to be unable to free themselves from it. For they give up trying. And then they become more and more entangled, until finally it takes an almost earthshaking experience to set them free.” – Napoleon Hill

Positive Mental Attitude: Season 2 – Episode 18 – Can You Attract Happiness?

There was a particular interviewee who was a best selling author in Australia who was suppose to come on and talk about Happiness.  Obviously that didn’t happen, so here I am in the latter stages of this book talking about Happiness.

Can you attract it?

Happiness, depression, repression, guilt, enthusiasm…they’re all conditions and adjectives that we can inherit at any time. That’s a fact.

Striving after happiness is also about focusing on your core values.  Your belief systems.  What are you around? Are you around all types of positive circumstances? If so, you’ll unconsciously attract great things to you.

“I want to be happy …” A popular song starts off with words that contain a great deal of truth: “I want to be happy, but I won’t be happy, ’til I make you happy, too!”
One of the surest ways to find happiness for yourself is to devote your energies toward making someone else happy. Happiness is an elusive, transitory thing. And if you set out to search for it, you will find it evasive. But if you try to bring happiness to someone else, then it comes to you.”

And then there was this.  Have you ever felt an unbelievable amount of joy when you did something for someone else? Let me put it to you like this.  I had a student who was smiling from one corner of his eye to the other.  He had come into my place of work to surprise me.  In just 6 hours teaching, I taught him how to pass the IELTS examination, catapulting him to England (where he’s going to school now).  I sat down and I was just so overjoyed that I helped someone achieve such an amazing victory in life.

That will stay with me forever.

It’s like the video that Gary Vee recently posted about the lady giving him her gun license, sobbing and saying “I don’t need this anymore.”  That is the moment of true fulfillment.  Stopping someone from committing suicide. Ok, that’s probably not happiness, but that’s utterly fulfilling.

“You are a happy person during a period when you predominantly experience that positive state of mind in which you are happy combined with that neutral state of mind in which you are not unhappy.

And you can be happy, content, or unhappy. For the choice is yours. The determining factor is whether you are under the influence of a positive or negative mental attitude. And that factor you can control.
Handicaps are no barrier to happiness. Surely if ever there was a person who might have been expected to complain of unhappiness Helen Keller was that person. Born deaf, mute, and blind, deprived of knowledge of normal communication with the persons who surrounded her, she had only her sense of touch to help her to reach out to others and to experience the happiness of loving and being loved.”

Positive Mental Attitude: Season 2 – Episode 17 – Alcoholism & Mental Illness

“But a cure for alcoholism is not so easy to come by as education in hygiene. Alcoholism ranks as the fourth largest health problem in the nation. It follows mental and moral disease and is one of the greatest contributors to those two diseases. The economic cost of alcoholism is 25 billion dollars per year. The greater portion of this is loss of time to industry, followed by hospital costs and physical damages—caused mainly by automobile accidents. But the money loss is negligible compared to the loss of physical, mental, and moral health, and the loss of life attributable to alcoholism.
An alcoholic has a mental illness which lies dormant until his first drink. If he doesn’t start the habit, liquor doesn’t have the power of attraction for him. If he drinks, the affinity is strong, and he will drink to excess. If he drinks to excess, the attraction may become irresistible, or seem so. And when he tries to resist and doesn’t succeed, he may believe he cannot be cured.”

This resonates probably within a lot of readers.  This is brutal for me to read because I saw my brother becoming just that.

After coming back from Australia in 2012, my brother had balls in his back.  No one knew what the balls were, but they were hurting them.  He was working for a company called Stanley Steamers, a company that cleans the rugs of citizens’ homes. It got worse and worse over the next month with my brother becoming an irritable, angry, 26-year-old guy who went from being at the pinnacle, to collapsing back down to zero.

He had surgery and was in a tremendous amount of pain for the next couple of months.

Now, his habits were betting and alcoholism.  After he came home from work, he would go out and drink — five nights a week.  Who knows what else he did, but that’s what I saw.  He would always say “I’m hungover,” and again, he was turning more into an animal.  My youngest sister didn’t like being around him because he got angry quickly.  He bossed my mother around and he would always aggravate my sister.

Could it be because of alcoholism? It’s definitely one of the factors.

“What happens to excessive drinkers? Alcohol is known to alter the brain waves as recorded by the scientific instrument known as an electroencephalograph. It has a most potent influence on nerve cell metabolism which results in slow rhythms and eventual suppression of voltage and brings about a change in the level of consciousness.
A human body is alive only as long as its subconscious mind functions. It can be kept alive for a long time without the functioning of the conscious mind. There are degrees of consciousness.
Sanity is that healthy state of mind when the activities of the conscious and the subconscious are in proper balance. And while they work together, each has its specific duties; each has inhibiting factors. While sometimes it is healthful and wholesome for a person to do the things he wants to do but which are forbidden, judgments and actions should be the result of the conscious and subconscious working in balance.
The intellect and other powers of the conscious mind act as a governor regulating the subconscious when a person is in a conscious state of activity. As the activity of this governor slows down, the machine begins to run wild, and[…]”

In Las Vegas, anytime I would walk down the streets of Las Vegas Boulevard and Owens, there would be a lot of alcoholics roaming the streets, homelessly and wearing USA Veteran hats.  At night, I would be acosted by some angry drunks saying, “ey, man, you got any change?”

“No, I have food though.”

“I DON’T WANT FOOD!”

“Alcoholism is indeed a dread disease. If allowed to control a person’s life, it can render that person physically, mentally, and morally ill and send him to a living hell. Once alcohol has gained control in a person’s life, it does not readily relinquish its hold.
But there is a cure!
There’s always a cure! What’s the cure? Stop drinking! For the alcoholic, this is more easily said than done. The important thing is that it can be done. He can do it!
When you develop a positive mental attitude, you don’t give up trying because you have previously failed or because you know of cases where others have failed. You can be motivated and receive hope from successful experiences. A baby learning to walk isn’t criticized for falling after taking the first three steps. It is given credit for the progress it makes in response to its conscious effort.”

Positive Mental Attitude: Season 2 – Episode 16 -You Can Enjoy Good Health & Live Longer

“How PMA aids you. PMA will help you develop mental and physical health and a longer life. And NMA will just as surely undermine mental and physical health and shorten your life. It all depends upon which side of the talisman you turn up. Positive Mental Attitude properly employed has saved the lives of many persons because someone close to them had a strong Positive Mental Attitude. The following incident proves the point.”

This is the bottomline.  If you complain and emanate feelings of negativity, you will die early.  That’s the basis of everything.

Think about it.  Back in 2015, I was constantly berating myself with the “loser sob” stories that created my reality “at the time.”  I lived in a neighborhood where I got dirty looks….that’s my fault (100% accountability).  I was around the biggest losers in my life (teachers at my old job) and the things they said…were uninspiring, malicious and repugnant….I became the chatter.  All of these things, including death threats from Thai Airways’ workers, were coming in by herds.  I needed to breakaway from the ignorance.  I needed to finally cut off the dead weight of losers and free myself to learn and expand on the true meaning of life.

Best Quote Ever

“The price of ignorance is sin, sickness, and death! What do you know about Hygiene ? Hygiene is defined as “a system of principles or rules designed for the promotion of health.” Social Hygiene often refers specifically to venereal contagion. Ignorance of physical, mental, and social hygiene can lead to sin, sickness, and death.”

HMMMM! Just think about it.  Those people in those “whiney bitch party” groups at work, what ends up happening?

There’s a story.  Her name was Nancy.  Nancy was a worker at the Dental Faculty Practice at the College of Southern Nevada.  She was a very nasty human being.  She mistreated not only the patients, but all of the workers.  She was rude, snappy, and just about everything else in the book.

Not sure how long she was like this for, but it had to be for years.  A year after I left to come to Thailand, Nancy was killed in a car accident.  Four people in the car, and the other three were unscathed.  Nancy was the only one that perished.

Am I saying this is related to her sinning constantly by being unkind to everyone? Could be.  No one will ever know, but I don’t want to be that unfortunate mother/father, brother/sister that gets a phone call saying, “sorry, your _________ has passed away,” regretting everything she ever was.

Positive Mental Attitude: Season 2 – Episode 15 – Food, Physical & Mental Energy

“Yes, to maintain your level of both physical and mental energy you need to exercise both your body and mind. But there is a third factor. Your body and mind both need to be fed properly. You help to maintain your physical body by taking in quantities of wholesome, nutritious foods. You maintain your mental and spiritual vigor by absorbing mental and spiritual vitamins from inspirational and religious books.

Vitamins—necessary for a healthy mind and body! George Scarseth, Ph.D., former Director of Research for the American Farm Research Association in Lafayette, Indiana, told about a village on the seacoast of Africa. The village is more advanced than a community of similar tribes in the interior. Why? Because its inhabitants are physically stronger and more mentally alert—they have more bodily energy—than the interior tribes-men. The difference between the tribesmen on the coast and those living inland stems from a difference in diet. The village tribesmen in the interior do not have a sufficient amount of protein whereas those on the coast obtain quantities from the fish they eat.”

Health Energy

So, as mentioned before and on so many different blogs (and will possibly reiterate myself in the coming years/decades), there are lots of forms of energy.

I had a conversation with a troll, who was a boss, at my old boss after he observed my package and supplements labled “Herbalife.”

“What do you buy that stuff for?”

“Well, you see there’s _________ and ________”….and when you try explaining yourself to a Gen B, his/her ears are already cut off from accepting anything because they believe their preconceived notions.  He said that if I eat regular food, I wouldn’t need supplements.

Hmmm, that’s interesting. MAYBE in Thailand, a country where there aren’t giant factories in the outskirts of the city producing processed foods to kill people (This. Is. America), there are still essentials and deficiencies, especially in Selenium and Zinc.

How could someone impose their WILL of not knowing wtf they’re talking about on you? Well, Gen B’s always seem to know best, right? LOL.

Nonetheless, I’ve been using Herbalife for a while already and I’m absolutely AMAZED at some of the wonderful products which have helped me with my digestive tract, immune support, and just vitamins in general.

Mental Energy

Mental energy — YES! What are you feeding the mind.  There have been alot of likes on posts I HATE seeing.  Yes, social reform and for good causes, but the amount of negativity, especially in the America community which pushes the narrative that there IS EQUALITY THERE, is too much for me.  How is it allowing me to grow? Just that…it ISN’T!

So, if it isn’t, then what are you going to do about it? Clean your NEWSFEED!

“If you suspect that your diet is deficient in certain vitamins and elements so that your energy level is depressed, you should do something about it. A good cookbook can help you, and there are government pamphlets available at low cost. If the condition persists, have a physical checkup.
Like your body, your subconscious mind will accept and absorb mental and spiritual vitamins without effort. But, unlike your physical body, the subconscious will digest and retain unlimited quantities. Unlike your stomach, it never becomes stuffed! It will take and hold as much as you feed it—and still hold more!”

In effect, the subconscious mind is like a battery. From it, you can obtain tremendous surges of mental and spiritual energy which often transmute themselves into physical vitality. These jolts of energy will go to waste if we permit them to be short-circuited by needless negative emotions. But used constructively, this energy can multiply itself many times, just as a powerhouse generator produces vast amounts of useful power.
