The Arsenio Buck Foundation Official Launch!

There are foundations that I won’t name that do more taking than giving. There are too many “non profit” organizations that ask for money, but then those givers have no idea where there money actually goes. Over the course of so many years of seeing blood donation centers asking for blood and NGO’s asking for money, I decided to do this on my own.

Throughout my life, and having been born in a country is very high (yes, America….and poverty harbours within the mind), I’ve seen what poverty leads too. It’s generational. From the African Americans who sit on generational welfare, to the trailer parks where Caucasian Americans get inundated with drugs like heroin and cocaine, I can make a change.

Having lived in Thailand for five years and seeing the things I have for the last 5 years, my life-work/assignment has always been to give back — to do more than what I’m paid to do just so I can build upon the amazing person I already am.

My Four Pillars

So, The Arsenio Buck Foundation, which has now launched, has four pillars.

Schools, companies, and organizations wishing to book my services (and I do this for free) will have an opportunity to get in contact with me (I do two of these volunteering projects a year — 2020 may change to a handful, though) at ArsenioBuck@icloud.com.

English Language Training

This isn’t your basic, dumb down, open a book and teach. This is for all language learner levels and for people all over the world. This is a very intensive/interactive 2-3 day language/confidence building pillar that will enable students to break away from their shyness, make mistakes while speaking, and develop confidence within a short amount of time. It will also have implements of personal development, too.

Technology

Because I know how important the internet is today, people don’t understand how they’re a profile/click away from being HUGE. Creating an Instagram and finding the correct hashtags is the quickest way to building notoriety. Making pages, communicating with people on LinkedIn (if you’re a business professional) and other grounds, is what this dimension brings to the table.

Personal Development

Because I train business clients all over Thailand in terms of personal development, this is another area that will be accessible for schools/organizations. Leadership, finding your purpose, passion, self control, pleasing personality, etc are available — among so many others.

Victim – Victor

This is the most intense project. This is a lot of in-your-face, being held accountable, and digging deep into the minds of a lot of people who seemingly can’t except the fact about what’s happening around them. The goal for this one is to have everyone alleviate themselves from negative self-talk, physical environment issues, overcoming hardships, bad neighborhoods, horrible friends/workmates/family, and more.

So with these four pillars now intact, please follow my facebook page

Decentralization of The Internet: Longread (1/2)

By Jiun Ting Yong

Since the boom of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, enthusiasts and adopters are very fascinated about the potential future of Bitcoin.  The WWW was invented by Sir Tim Berner-Lee. He had addressed his concerned of the potential monopoly if users’ data by Google, Facebook and Microsoft Bing and other niche websites. The internet experts named the new web or the internet as the ‘Web 2.0′ with the rise of social media like Facebook.  With the rise of sharing and consuming content on WordPress, unlike the dawn of blogging, was meant to be like personal web diaries or web blogs.

The world is getting hyperconnected, cybersecurity will be at stakes and the government will be ensuring their citizens’ safety by requesting the giant technological companies to hand over their users’ personal data just like Apple had handed over their users’ data and their cloud storage system to China state-backed data centre. Also, Google and Facebook are doing data mining and feeding users with their advertisement through their advanced algorithms.

A couple of months ago, the world was in shock.  A data company, Cambridge Analytica was allowed by Facebook Inc to do data mining and extracting them for manipulating a state’s election according to their powerful and influential clients who turned out to be ruling elites. This revelation really shocked the world and Sir Tim Berner-Lee and other founding founders of the internet were concerned that the massive surveillance will become the utopian dystopia Orwellian Big Brother as China already had already become by conducting massive social credit scores of her citizens, as well as using facial recognition to scan a Chinese citizen for any signs of ‘anti-government and Maoism.’  The China Communist Party is policing her citizens’ everyday lives by justifying for being the Nightwatchmen, a famous libertarian ideology by Robert Norwich. Furthermore, Facebook Inc admitted that the giant internet company really does scan their messenger platform for security purpose without users realising it!

The founding fathers of the internet and the inventor of the world wide web dreamt of an impenetrable and powerful communication tool that could be free from governments’ intervention, due to the combination of left and right wing ideology, ‘libertarian’ because of the countercultural movement back in the 1960s.  However, as the world is moving to digitisation, the government began to start their own digitised policies by regulating the internet for being a utility and even started their policing.

Season 1: Episode 4 – Book Review – Material & Sexual Mask

Let me first ask you some questions.

  • Are you driven to a country because of sexual activities?
  • Do you want to buy a car because of your insecurities?
  • Does having a big house mean more to you than making a difference?

Those are the most basic questions in terms of these masks.  From the sex tourists that have made Thailand the number 1 tourist destination on the planet as of 2017 (ok, not all are, but a significant portion of that 20 million came here to engage in sexual interaction), to the high society who lavish themselves in luxuries to cover-up what’s really wrong underneath their skin.

Welcome to the two most vicious masks of society (as most of them are).

Ok, maybe the material mask relates to women more than men, but if you put the #entrepreneurship hashtag in on Instagram, you will see a lot of men wearing super expensive suits (rented), wearing fancy watches (also rented) while standing in front of planes (jumping over fences to get to them) or standing in front of cars (without the license plate pictured).  Yes, I’m calling out the Laguna boys who seemingly lost all perspective in terms of living.

Shows such as Jersey Shore made it much worse when it was all about body-building, money and the latest trends.  This goes for both men and women.

Lewis Howes, at the time of writing the book, was sitting in a massive mansion in Beverly Hills.  This mansion was owned by one of the most polarizing characters (and still is) by the name of Tai Lopez.  Yes, the man who spouted “KNAWLEDDDGEEE” all over the net, preaching to people about the “good” life on a Ted Talk stage, and someone who would constantly show his materials.  He also went on to say, “these materials don’t mean anything,” but it’s a selling point for you to get those weak-minded individuals into buying your courses?

Anywho, this is a man who’s hampered by the media-crazy materialistic America.

“The irony is, for so many people, all that materialism invalidates the quality of a person’s ideas. There’s nothing Tai can do to get those people to hear him, which just drives him further behind the Material Mask. It’s like someone trying to convince you that they care about you by screaming, “I love you!” louder and louder right in your face at the top of their lungs with the veins bulging out of their neck. You don’t hear the words; you only see the vulgar display.”

Excerpt From: Lewis Howes. “The Mask of Masculinity.” iBooks.

What’s available if you drop the mask?

Fulfillment
Worthiness
Inner peace
Attracting people who are interested in who you are, not how much you have
Feeling enough
Satisfaction with your achievements
Gratitude

Sexual Mask

I worked at a job in Pathumthani, Thailand who had about 13 anglo teachers (the emphasis is coming), all of which who escaped a terrible divorce, got shunned by their own children (who no longer speak to them) and ended up seeking refuge by marrying a poor woman from a village.  This is the story of the over 45s here in Thailand.

Ok, those are wife-tourists.

Let’s put some focus on the sex monsters.

Spartan Beast Malaysia = Cancelled; Now What? Spartan Beast Australia!

I went from booking a ticket, thinking that my Spartan Beast in Malaysia was on a Saturday, to cancelling a plane ticket and realizing that plane tickets on other days were at extortionate prices.  YIKES!

What a disaster.  What seemed like a sure Spartan Beast and trifecta claiming weekend turned into a nightmare whereas I almost lost out on $167 dollars.

So, Arsenio….your health goals of 2018 have suffered a minor hiccup.  What are you going to do now?

Well, there were three options.  First, I’m grateful I don’t have to fly back to Malaysia at this point because I’m so sick of the garbage airlines (Malindo Air & Air Asia) that are ALWAYS late.  I’m sick of almost getting in mid-air collisions (on Malindo) and Air Asia) and terrible service — along with cardboard box seats.

So, got it.  “It’s a low-budget airline.”  Well, no more!

I’d much rather take some time off from these low-budget airlines than deal with lunacy of them always being late.

Well, I’m first very grateful for having experiences both airlines, but it’s time to spend a tad more and fly reputable airlines from a better airline that’s connected to the rail link, which is connected to the city.

Anywho, let’s focus on the matter…my Spartan Beast has been stopped, momentarily, and now it’s either the Beast in Thailand, Australia, or Malaysia (lol) in December (in the Malaysian/Singaporean border town of Johor Bahru). What will I choose?

Facebook 201: For My International Audience, Consider This!

Gary Vee goes in with praising FB live.  I have to admit, it is much better than Twitter live, which attracts trolls from left to right.  FB live gives you the chance to develop your personality, self-confidence, and show case your speaking skills.  You don’t have to be in front of a 100 person live audience.  You can do it on FB and be in front of a small camera.  This is great for the development of confidence, especially for the newer generation which has become confidently challenged.

Facebook live can also be used as a vimeo.  For business owners out there, including one of my most recent interview with Wodbudsuds, they can utilize it and show the foundation or how everything is created.  This is a great marketing tool.

A lot of you can also see those LinkedIn pages and Instagrammers that put outlandish titles in their description, claiming they’re the best of their respective field.  However, you don’t see them showcasing themselves in videos? It’s like the 100k followers on Instagram, Twitter and other platforms….but no videos? I can’t google your name? Not even one search comes up? Yeah….not good.

If you’re a mentor or coach like me, you will want to get in front of fans and show them who you are.  It’s like someone who creates test preparation courses, but has no videos on HOW they teach them? Doesn’t make any sense, right? If you’re a dog trainer, create dog training videos.  If you’re a mentor, create videos of you giving 1 on 1’s.  Have a show of some sort and show people what type of feedback you would give them, such as what I’m doing every Sunday pretty soon with my British sidekick.

Whatever it is you do, show people you do it and show them that you’re not all talk. You’re not just a “founder” or “CEO” of something that doesn’t exist.

“Collaborate. If you are building a brand based on jokes, cooking, bikes, extreme sports, or bathing suits—anything—go to the top of Facebook and do searches on terms that are relevant to your business. Find the fan pages with the most followers, message them, and make them an incredible offer that makes it worth their while to share your original content on their platform or to work with you in other ways. For example, if you’re a biker and you get a viral hit on your post about how a motorcycle helmet saved your life, the best thing you could do would be to spend hours getting in touch with every single popular motorcycle fan page and offering them a brilliantly funny PSA about helmets to share on their page. Collaborating through Facebook is a strategic move that has enormous potential to quickly build your audience.”

Excerpt From: Gary Vaynerchuk. “Crushing It!.” iBooks.

For my internationals….

Seriously, if you’re living in Burundi, Madagascar, Mauritius, Malta, Estonia, Jersey or places unknown to the ear, you can be putting out pillars of content of your country.  Here’s Gary Vee.

“You start by creating a pillar piece of content. In this case, your ideal pillar would be a weekly audio podcast that people can listen to as they drive around town scoping out neighborhoods. Biweekly would be OK, and monthly would be better than nothing, but you know that the more content you put out, the more opportunities you can create. (Stay with me here—you’ll see, Facebook is the star in this story.)
Your podcast explores the minutiae of daily living in and around Sacramento and establishes you as the “virtual-content mayor” of the city. Local residents tune in to hear your take on their beloved city. One day you might review restaurants and local dishes, on another you’ll dig into the history of the city, and on another you’ll interview local influencers. From then on, whenever anyone wants to know more about Sacramento or its future, everyone knows you’re the person to contact, because you’ve made it clear that no one knows the city better or loves it more than you.

As you’re doing your stories about the people, places, or things that make Sacramento a unique, vibrant place to live, you take notes and highlight details from each podcast that can be turned into ancillary pieces of content. For example, if you interview the superintendent of the school district and he mentions that five of its teachers recently received prestigious national awards, you’ve found another piece of content. Track down those five teachers, take their picture, and create a Facebook post that asks, “Did you know that five Sacramento School District teachers have been nationally recognized for excellence in education?” You include a link to your podcast interview with the school superintendent. More and more Sacramentans learn who you are and become regular listeners. When one of them finds out that his friend’s family is moving to town because his wife got a job transfer, he forwards the podcast link so they can learn more about the school district. Suddenly, a family who will need to buy a home has your voice in their ear and your contact information at their fingertips. That cycle repeats over and over until, within five years, you’re so established as the primo real estate expert of Sacramento that your new business comes in almost exclusively by referral.

Then you make more content. You go out and film or photograph the places you talk about in each podcast and post the files to Facebook. You link your podcast to the images, so that now people who don’t already live in the city can see for themselves what these areas look like without having to go anywhere else on the Internet.”

Wheel of Life: It’s A Little Foggy + Heart Talk Achieved!

Oh, yes! Welcome back to another edition of the wheel of life, which is coming about 5 days earlier from when I normally debut it.  I’m grateful as hell, regardless of all the things I’ve been through, but I do believe I’ve been looking in the wrong places.

Over the course of this month, it’s been a bit turbulent.  Job offers but no jobs; a woman applying for jobs for me – only to tell me “they chose another teacher;” British language center (not my cup of tea) which said they would use me, but they never did.

These are all just forms in the road and it revolves a little bit around career.  It’s been a bit wild in general, but it’s time to go over the month in it’s entirety!

Family & Friends – 4

Yeah, definitely a bit low from the last time.  Remember the story about the Indian girl who’s a fitness trainer? Yeah, too much baggage, lies, voids and no trust.  Dumped like a bad habit.  I’ve also realized that one of my best friends is an afterthought now.  This category took a ferocious hit this month.

What Now?

Ok, the loose and unwanted baggage has been taking out.  So what’s the next step? Nurture those life-time relationships I already have and don’t take the newcomers too seriously.

Family will always be family.  Not much around but hear some motivating words from my family from time-to-time.

Health – 7

In terms of my healthy living, it’s extraordinary.  I get enough sleep and I haven’t had any allergies whatsoever.  My mileage on my runs continues to go up and I don’t feel extremely tired after my runs, either.

However, I lost my shape 🙁 I’m very diligent now with my funds until something is consistent, so I haven’t been joining my workout class twice-a-week like I normally did last year.

Fun & Hobbies – 6

This is a bit unchanged because nothing miraculous happened over this month.

Romantic Relationships – Hell No

That’s a big hell no, too.

Career – 10

*CLEARED CONSCIOUS*

YouTube hit the biggest peak just a few days ago with people in almost every country listening to me.  It’s unbelievably fascinating and sooooo exciting! People are commenting, suggesting, recommending and speaking about me – on top of sharing my videos.  So grateful!

Podcast hit some massive spikes over the past week.  I’ve gotten some great downloads from countries such as Mauritius, and lots of isolated towns around America are figuring out about me.  I mean it’s finally beginning to promote itself!

Blog/website is very enticing to say the least.  I get sparks from Greece, Mexico, Tanzania and a few other countries, looking for my education blogs and whatnot.

The ultimate project I got could possibly land me residual income for the next 10 years, so now I’m hustling big time in terms of making practice tests and getting ready for the massive herd of people who are about to come in by the thousands – literally.

My graphic designer, who I probably will cut ties with soon, did my Facebook cover art and a few other things.  However, having things put off and attitude is started to make me second guess everything.  I think I will upgrade my wordpress site and install plugins.  MAYBE!

This is probably the immediate things that are happening.  Of course there are probably another half-dozen things that are taking place at the moment.  I’m just TOO EXCITED!

I think what’s happening and what just happened with my primary job, as of today, was a blessing in disguise and made me rethink a couple of things, thanks to someone who cares about me.

Personal Development – 9

Found ET (Eric Thomas) YouTube channel, along with listening to Be Inspired (another YouTube channel) has really changed me a lot over the past several days.  I’m literally on fire.  I’ve been doing a lot of reading and converting so much of it to blogs and podcast.

Physical Environment – 8

Now, I’m dumping the trash out right now.  Once that’s over, my environment should be at a consistent 10 every month.  New jobs all around Bangkok, wonderful women that I work with, big projects and living in a gorgeous condo says it all.

Wealth – 7.5

Worst month in terms of salary in January at the burning trash dump (lol – I love creating nicknames for this place).  However, I got my projects on board, teaching trainer project, and so many others are coming in.  This month I’ll be in a very good surplus, but March, April, and May will determine the outcome of whether I stay or go to possibly Spain or France.

Gary Vee: Personal Brands Are For Everyone

As I was sitting across from my gorgeously on-top-of gorgeous Indian trainer/friend, it struck me that she is currently doing the same thing I WAS doing just two years ago – not having a purpose and shooting aimlessly.

Then, last week sometime around 10:30pm (way past my bedtime and meditation time), I was in a very fascinating discussion with her.  Now, her having graduating from the best international school in Bangkok, I told her that she has connections.  The amount of people she knows and that are connected with other powerful figures is an all-time high.

I gave her a list of things to write down in terms of defining her life-purpose.  They revolved around meeting/chatting with people, helping people, and fitness.  She mentioned opening a gym, but she hasn’t cultivated the right mindset and habits to start-up one.  I started to dig deeper and realized that about 90% of India doesn’t workout.  Yes, I threw a figure out there, but I know I’m very close to it.  Scooting head to how she looks, she’s a beast.  Without hesitation, she’s gorgeous beyond belief.  So given the fact that there are so many Instagrammers out there who show their body, I told her that there’s a giant, 1-billion person market to reach out to in her native India.  The workouts and knowledge she has is top 5% compared to every other “fitness/romanticized pseudo-fitness Instagrammer.”

Steps

  • Create a blog
  • Create a Twitter, Facebook Page and Instagram (although she already has one) and automatically sync the blogs to it.
  • Create a YouTube Channel (as a platform, not by means of making money from YouTube).
  • Start content creating!

Isn’t it cool to know there is no prescribed route? If you’re a project manager who’d rather be a beekeeper, for example, tomorrow—yes, tomorrow—you could launch a nature-oriented podcast and blog with perceptive, humorous, creative content, and amplify your voice in all kinds of arenas beyond bees. Then you could start producing how-to videos or write a book about starting in the biz, ensuring that your knowledge is passed on to the new generation of beekeepers. You’d be sharing important information and growing your personal brand at the same time. And then, you could be asked to host a special on Animal Planet, or National Geographic could call and say they want to do a feature. As your personal brand grows, you might develop a recipe for a new honey-flavored candy, lip balm, lozenge, or yogurt. You might create a new bug spray or skin regimen, or design bee-branded tote bags and gardening materials. Or you may get a direct message on Instagram from fashion model Karlie Kloss, who, it turns out, is super into bee culture, and the tagged selfie you take together not only boosts your book sales from three hundred to thirty thousand, but also it sparks the next chapter of your career. That shit is really happening. Use today’s social-media platforms to develop your brand and expand your influence, and you can build a business that could continue to grow even if you never touched another hive.

New Book Series! Gary Vee’s ‘Crushing It’ + Chapter 1: The Path Is Yours

First time I saw Gary Vee was in a Tony Robbins video.  Like a lot of other people; you either love him or hate him (well, hate it too strong of a word – so maybe dislike).  The next time I saw one of his videos was when his opening intro went something like, “the man holding the camera said it was a rough day…..I don’t give a _________.”

From then on…I was sold.  The marketing strategies, expertise in terms of social media, and how to build a brand catapulted me to great heights.  When my podcast got quiet, I realized that patience and constant content creating would overcome the woes.

The Path Is Yours

While I was downloading a sample of this book, I was listening to a very-angry-45-year-old-male on a news channel rant at Gary about “why” social media has destroyed the world.  I laughed.  The comments in support of Gary were wonderful: “this guy is completely lost and out of touch with reality.”  Yes, the Gen B’s and even what I’m dealing with at my current place of work, are lacking adaptability.  For example, English conversation, which is something most non-native English speaking countries don’t give, is lacking in Thailand.  I developed a curriculum that would amass millions upon millions of baht.  However, there was a change in administration, and here came a out-of-touch-with-the-world Brit who criticized the curriculum, stating that it’s not “academic.”  Oh, right…the academics that universities are spewing out to B.A. business students who are ineffective in the world of business – but they have made more money in six months listening to Gary Vee compared to the 4 years in school and 6 years after.  Hmmmm…

So then with two shops closing and a huge decrease in work, I’m smiling, knowing the emergence of the Chinese market will land me a job that will never go away while this business will be “out-of-business.”

News outlets, and the people not willing to acclimate around the world, know that if you don’t….the world will continue moving on – whether you like it or not.  Social media and the wondrous internet is here to stay.  If these Gen B babies knew what was to come in the next ten years, they would put tin foil on their desks and jars of urine would be scattered all around them (Hassan joke).

Building a personal brand is an important aspect….and more importantly, if you’re going to become an influencer (or what to), this is imperative.  Gary Vee has some insane stats in his book….

  • YouTube’s daily viewership is closing in on TV’s 1.25 billion hours per day, as television viewership falls every year.

  • One in every five minutes spent on mobile is spent on Facebook’s apps and services.

  • Every minute, 65,900 videos and photos are posted on Instagram.

  • Over 3 billion snaps are created each day on Snapchat, where over 60 percent of ads are watched with the audio on.

If you look at the likes of Logan Paul and Lilly Singh, they’re on the top of the grossing list, making tons by of course monetization.  Look at Instagram.  Look how many women are on there posing half-naked.  Take a good count and just imagine how much they’re making by wearing or branding other people’s companies?

Although YouTube is a crazy market to break into, look how many views the channel by the name of “Top 5’s” is getting.  He’s literally creating videos about top 5 everything around the world, and regardless of the dislikes that pour in, he’s making loads of money.  I’m kind of kicking myself in the ass because back in 2012, I created a blog about my travels to Thailand (here), Japan, and Hawaii.  Unfortunately I stopped….little did I know that could’ve expanded into a massive money-maker.  Know that the opportunity is everywhere around you.

I’m an entrepreneur who built a $150 million media company in part because of my personal brand, which I developed by first creating valuable content that grew my influence.  That’s one way to crush it.  By all means, though, go ahead and make money over time by running ads, for example by selling ad space to a candy bar company.  As your star rises, you could get paid $10k for placing a candy bar on your table while you work.  But for God’s sake, don’t stop there.  That’s where you start.  Don’t leave money on the table because you don’t realize how much bigger you can get.  How big? The internet is an entrepreneur’s oyster, and you can use its pearly platforms to build a personal brand so powerful that the world is not only willing to pay you for your products or services or to promote other people’s products and services, but also it might even be willing to pay you to just be you.  To me, that is when you’ve become a true influencer.  At its heigh, influencer marketing is reality TV 2.0. I want you to think of yourself as tomorrow’s newest star.

The Story of Nuttakul & Branding + Instagram Hashtags

15-year-old Thai student in a boarding school on the outskirts of Bangkok was getting very disinterested with learning the same-old boring, flipping page-by-page English, although I don’t do that.  Everything I threw at her, including different real-life English activities, didn’t move her.

So, instead of throwing the “historical style” learning system at her, I decided to focus on her core genius.  Yeah, the core genius….that most universities don’t focus on.  She has a knack in drawing.  I’ve seen some of them in class and said, “wow, you got some skills, young one.”

In doing that, last week I had her make an Instagram to showcase her artwork to the world.  They don’t teach this in any form of school.  I literally acquired this individual talent from the Great Gary Vee.  After she created the Instagram, she got a couple likes and a follow – followed by a sudden burst of excitement.

Moving into today’s work, I knew she needed to develop a blog that connects all social media platforms together.  First was the creation of the blog, then it was uploading one of her photos on Instagram, but she seemed a bit disheartened by the fact that no one liked her post.  I then googled “hashtags for drawing” and all these suggestions came up – 25 of them.  I had her hashtag them all into her notes on her phone and used them on her next photo, bringing 25 likes, 3 follows, and her work got promoted onto an influencer’s page.  Pretty remarkable, huh?  A 15-year old Thai student now has a blog, which was also followed by someone from America and a few others in Thailand in the first 30 minutes.

I never really understood the importance of hashtags, but now I know.  So, for all the books I do podcasts on and for all the common posts I do, I’ve created paste hashtags for each one.  Since doing it. I’ve gotten 20 followers and 50 likes.

Now she’s building her brand at the age of 15 and she taught me something I already knew from the past.
