Wheel of Life: October 2018 Edition – Closing Out The Year

Another month, another close.  Yes, it’s been a year with far more ups than downs, but the closing is coming to an end.

How will you leave your mark?

For those of you tuning in for the first time, this is a podcast that’s for people who are willing to identify what areas of life are their strengths and which ones they’ve been neglecting.  Here are the categories.

Rate yourself from 1-10 in each category and be brutally honest about yourself.  Once you understand what areas are suffering, now you’re consciously aware and can make a change.  Here are not only my categories, but what I need to improve in.

Improvement Stages Launch

Normally I’ve talked about my main scores followed by explanation, but I want to see where I can improve.  It’s not about becoming a perfectionist, but improving.

Physical Environment – *3

So, in terms of my physical environment, I believe that it can increase significantly.  First and foremost, my separate projects outside my main place of work are great.  A turning point happened at my job where someone “bitched” at me over something that isn’t even worth repeating (ok, it was about writing on a back of a sheet of paper), but it made me realize “maybe this place doesn’t deserve a teacher like me?”  When she did this, I scratched my head and said, “I’m not going to get my visa until early next year…and that’s if I’m still here.”

That’s called a yellow flag, folks.  Never fully commit when you have nastiness happening.

I’m now cancelling a lot of my availability with the job — because I CAN.  I’m also focusing on my main projects, but that and a couple of blackouts at my condo has hampered the everlasting 10 you would see on a continuous basis.

Physical Environment – *2

I could’ve increased my personal development by a large margin if I just know how to end my day.

I’ve been scuffling and trying to figure out an evening routine that’s suitable for m Because I finish work so ridiculously late, it’s very hard for me to end my day effectively (no excuses.  It all deals with my phone.  If I’m able to listen to affirmations or listen to my “calm” application, which has some nice story-telling to put me in a good state of mind, I win.  However, I haven’t been able to do that.

So, there are several things that I will implement. Tune into my podcast down below for that!

Career – *1.5

Honestly, I’m on the right track.  The comments, the love, the support, the things I’m attracting…but my actions are still not showing that I’m hungry for my ebook and webinar launch.

Wealth – *5

This was the category that made me upset.  I should be making a solid figure per month at my day job, but I’m not — STILL.  So, what can I do to buck the trend? In the podcast!

Because I don’t want to make this long extra long, I decided put everything into my podcast down below to here how I’m able to cope with things that aren’t working.

Pre-Workout: Amino Energy Review

You guys don’t know, but two days ago had to be the most terrifying moment of my life.  After sucking down two cups of coffee (1pm and 4pm), I decided to “test” out my new pre-workout, Amino Energy, at 6pm.

Yeah.  Bonehead move.  There was no effects at the moment, but I while I was walking to my bus stop after work, I got super lightheaded.  Why? Maybe too much of a surplus in caffeine.

I tried sleeping around 9:30, and everytime I closed my eyes and went into a stage of sleep before I actually fell asleep, everything felt like it was moving and I would get a jolt of warm energy from my elbows to my hands.  This ensued to 11pm, 1am, 3am….I had enough.  I was down near on a 24-hour stint and I headed to the clinic to get some medication to fall asleep.  Disclaimer: do this only during worse case scenarios…never on a regular basis because these drugs are terrible and they can affect your kidney.

I went to sleep around 4:30 am, woke up once to call in sick, and slept again until 11:30 am.  I felt so groggy and completely fatigue, but it was because of the excess caffeine.

Judgement Day

So, I was scared when I woke up.  I looked at my pre-workout and it looked at me.  I said, “should I, “and ‘it’ said, “should.”  I took only a half-a-scoop and off I went to the gym.  Now, there were no tingling effects or anything, but what I felt was an extreme amount of focus.  In this class had 4 other women and a guy.  The women I like to call “fair-weather” because some days they say good morning, other days they completely ignore you.  Didn’t matter, but it was motivation on top of the focus.

When the workout started, I was zoned it COMPLETELY.  This reminded me of the day I took Jack 3D back in 2012 and my energy was bouncing off the walls.  I didn’t give up once.  I kept it rolling for a full hour, which is unheard of.  Even during breaks, I kneeled and remained focus….normally I would chat it up or try throwing some conversation gambits out there for bait (lol).

Now, is this as good as Stimul, my absolute favorite pre-workout? Well, Stimul never gave me insomnia.  All will tell later on tonight if I can sleep or not.

Nonetheless, the ingredients, reviews and everything I saw online made me purchase this two days ago, and it surely didn’t disappoint.

  • Consistency – Check

 

Positive Mental Attitude: Season 2 – Episode 3: How To Motivate Others (1/2)

How can you motivate others? How can you motivate others who don’t want motivation? How can a parent motivate a child and vice versa?

These are some questions that have been hanging over my head for years.  My mother never motivated me to learn Spanish.  My father never motivated me to learn about personal development.  My father, quite frankly, didn’t do a god damn thing.  I’ve made that very apparent over recent years, but sitting here looking back now I actually wonder how I was able to motivate myself — and why am I motivating others today?

“It is important to know how to motivate others in an effective manner and in a desirable direction. Throughout life you play dual parts in which you motivate others and they motivate you: parent and child, teacher and pupil, salesman and buyer, master and servant—you take each part.
How a child motivated his father. A boy two-and-one-half years of age was walking with his father after a very heavy Christmas Day dinner. When they had walked about a block and a half, the youngster stopped, looked up at his father with a smile, and said: “Daddy …” then hesitated. His father responded, “Yes?” The boy paused for a second or two and continued, “If you say please, I’ll let you carry me.” Now, who could resist this type of motivation? Even a new-born baby motivates his parents to action.”

Napoleon Hill was dealing with a tragedy for so many years and his family thought he was broken.

When I tried motivating my family after I came back from Australia, they wanted to part.  They always went back to the same, bickering, “I hate life” type of lifestyle.  My brother and I almost got into a fist fight because I tried motivating him by telling him that he was in charge of his life and that with the law of attraction, everything that has happened in the past cane become undone.

I have to really look back to the point where everything began to “change.”  When did I start MOTIVATING people around me? Was it Australia? No.  I think my first real jump into motivation was when I came back from Australia, landed at McCarran International Airport, and then walked back into the living room of my house after a year — only to see my younger sister, who I’ve never had a nice relationship with, sitting and waiting for me to spur her on.  In that moment I lectured her about leaving the country.  It was a 20 minute conversation of pure love and soul from my heart — a connection I never once had with an already deteriorated relationship with her.

Throughout my dental assisting career, there was hardly anything that was inspirational.  Hell, when I tried motivating a very pedantic, inconsiderate and cold worker back then, she would get super angry at me and say I was “flaunting” that I had been abroad before.  From that moment forward, I did somewhat have it in my blood to give me experiences to others in a very positive way.

Lewis Howes: The Alpha Mask Introduction!

After so many months of not reading this book (and now realizing that I’m finished with the Gary Vee book), I’ve reverted my attention back to one of the most splendidly terrifying books out there that’s almost certain to put all men in some of the most uncomfortable places.  I present you the ALPHA MASK!

“You’re in a bar and some guy gets rude. You’re in a meeting and someone other than you is getting all the attention. You’re trying to talk your phone bill down, but the guy on the other end of the line is a jerk about it.

How does this make you feel? How do you respond? For a lot of men, the answer is simple: It challenges their very identity as a man. It makes them feel less than. Since they see themselves as alpha males—the top dogs—they simply cannot handle the downgrade in status.

But here’s the danger—in some of the situations, the degree to which you are assertive and display your full alpha colors could meaningfully change what happens, for better or worse. It might affect whether you are able to walk away in one piece.”

BOOM! Omg! I mean, when I read this, I laughed out loud! How many times, especially throughout our daily lives, are we accosted by this insidious behavior?

Ok, I’ve been seeing a lot of trolls on Gary Vee’s LinkedIn who literally argue against everything he writes.  You got the “labelers,” who call themselves “CEO, founder, manager, and other ridiculously outlandish and egotistical titles, who berate Gary Vee with the most senseless antics and phrases imaginable.  Remedial yokels from another dimension.

A long time ago, I was holding a sign, peacefully, inside McCarran International airport when I was approached by a group of clowns…..those who call themselves “McDonalds Managers,” and one specific man said, “omg who prepped you?” It was like three back-to-back-to-back questions that sounded like 21 questions.  He did this because he wanted to have that managerial feel.  The feeling of superiority — and this is why Americans are so WAY-IN-OVER-THEIR-HEADS because they let titles, which don’t go to the grave with them, get to them.

You got the shady clubbing men who go to clubs in groups to stalk “prey” (yes, I’m saying that in a very mysogynistic way because they do treat women like objects).  After they make eye-contact with another one who’s trying to gain power over the other, he approaches him by saying, “wtf are you looking at?” Brawl happens; orbital bones are broken; people are slammed; concussions are given.

It’s head-scratching, isn’t it? Males, even here in Thailand, have a tendency of beating women.

  • Being creative to bring in something that can make people feel good and being true to yourself.
  • Being true to yourself, stop complaining about yourself, stop giving excuses and stop feeling discontent.
  • Reprogramme your subconscious mind.
  • Be responsible for people who are in your life and stop complaining.
  • Don’t forget yourself, being yourself and stop getting caught up externally with what is happening– build yourself up and invest in yourself.
  • Don’t fall into the trap or trap yourself with fake people around you.

Interviewee #7 – Celina Celeste On Self-Growth & Confidence

I had the special privilege of interviewing Celina Celeste on Facebook (Gary Vee’s page).  She connected with me and we spoke for a while until I realized she had a podcast.  I decided to reach out and ended up landing the first interview with her (on The Arsenio Buck Show’s FB page) as we talked about teaching and traveling.  Now she’s on my podcast talking about a very turbulent job in the beginning — turned passion.

It’s amazing how she developed the self-awareness and asked herself, “do I see myself here for the next 10 years?”  Working at a job she completely despised, she finally broke away from it and went onto the next chapter.

Now she has an unbelievable art page, organic dog treat business, and she’s creating a cookbook (currently).  This is the entrepreneurial spirit!

Happy New Years + Goal-Setting Time + YouTube Video/Podcast

HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Being on top of my balcony and seeing the amount of fireworks I did last night was just resounding.  I felt the love in the air and now I’m onto the biggest year of my life (as I said last year and it exceeded my expectations).

On the other hand, the majority of people this  morning have resolutions, but they don’t have the proper techniques, skills, and things in place to make their “goals” manifest.

For one, resolutions base-word is “resolve,” meaning you’re looking to resolve something in your life.  You can handle that just by dumping the girlfriend/boyfriends, quitting the s***ty job, and learning how to say ‘no’ more often.

So, let me let you in on some techniques + some of the goals I set for myself in the past and what’s happening this 2018.

Habits

What’s a habit? Something that has turned into a daily party of our routine.  We wake up, brush out teeth, take a shower, get ready — that’s all habitual.  It’s on auto-pilot.  However, we’re oblivious to the bad habits that are happening: eating junk food, engaging in heated online debates, watching television, being around the wrong who bitch all the time.  These are also habits.  So what did I do?

2017 Was The Change

I needed to compile a morning routine that would ultimately help me win the day.  You have what Jim Quik said in terms of brushing your teeth with the opposite hand, making your bed, etc.  These are all wonderfully great things, but I’m still not able to win it.  I’ll give you a nice glimpse at my morning.

Normally at 5:30am I wake up (I sleep the night before at about 9:30), and I go straight into a meditation.  If I have a busy morning, which I normally do, I do the meditation “overcoming procrastination,” which is a guided meditation with one of the apps I use (let me know if you want the name in the comment section).  After that, I would take my vitamins and possibly even a pre-workout, depending on if I workout in the morning.  After that, I post on an inspirational message on my instagram, and sometimes even my podcast (which could’ve been pre-recorded).  I then record or pre-record a live podcast.  Now, depending on if I’m working out in the morning or not, for the bulk of this year, I would workout around 8am.

This was the bulk of my year, but things have changed.  So, if I workout (and now I do) at 6:45am, my podcast has to be pre-recorded and blog done the day before.  During the commute, I would post everything on social media and then hit it hard.  After I workout and before I go to work, I would have my protein shake, rice & pork, and respond to emails, messages and other things for 30 minutes before my students arrive.

This is how I ultimately had such an effective morning for a good portion of the year.

Sure, it’s not always going to work, but a behavior compounded over time becomes a habit.  That’s what you will need to succeed.

Night Routine

Same as the morning routine. Now, night routines are extremely difficult at times because once I get home, I want to get on the news.  This is why I’ve been media fasting on and off.  Reading something that doesn’t pertain to me, my goals, and just revolves around the ‘circle of concern’ is disastrous.  However, on the nights everything did work, this is how it went.

During my commute home I turn off all notifications.  I say what I need to say, respond to emails, then that’s it.  When I get home I make sure I set everything up for the next day.  Clothes are packed, bottles for working out, belts, socks — YOU NAME IT!  This is how it happened.  If I can read before I sleep, it would be a success.  Normally, I always do my meditation.  Now, depending on how the day went, there’s a lot of head trash that gets thrown at me throughout the day at work.  Opinions and ignorance of colleagues, management, and just being in a very “slummy” area where people look down on me.  Those tides have changed though.  But when these things happened, I would do the “detox my mind” podcast so I can wake up fresh.

Goal-Setting

Here’s a list of things to add into your morning routine.

  • Make your bed
  • Grateful list
  • Meditation (20 minutes)
  • Exercise (20 minutes)
  • Read (20 minutes)
  • Inspirational podcast or YouTube video (I listen to Gary Vee)
  • News Feed on all social media MUST have inspirational messages on there.  Follow the people that make you feel better.

Now, onto Goal-Setting.

Now, first thing is first…get rid of these phrases: I wish, if only, I don’t, I can’t, but I don’t have….

These are all doomers.  They’re either in the future or completely denying your ability and mindset of obtaining a goal.

When you figure out your vision, life-purpose, desire, objectives and everything for this year, then you can unleash the power.  Thinking about goals gives you a 43% chance of obtaining them.  Writing them down gives you a 56% chance.  Sharing them with a friend bumps it up to a 64% chance.  And then there’s the weekly progress report to a friend – 76%.  This gives you an idea of how it works.

To make sure the goal is imbedded into your subconscious mind, you must meet two criteria: how much (measurable quantity), and by when (specific time).

Example: I want to travel to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.  – Wrong

The conditional “I want” is a killer.

I will travel to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan this year. 

  • Better, but there isn’t a specific time frame.

I will travel to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on April 13th by Astana Airlines and come back April 20th. 

  • Now this is sexy.  I have the time, month, and even specific airline.

The universe loves action!

Go online and start looking for the airlines, hotels and everything that relates to your travel.  This is something that my mother was never able to overcome because she always said, “I don’t have any money. I wish I can go, but my finances aren’t straightened out.”  They never will be! There’s never a right time for anything! When you get that intuitive nudge, act!

This is the power of goal-setting.  Visualize yourself being on the snowboarding fields in Hokkaido, Japan by listening to a blizzard and fire crackling.  Look up how much the tickets are, where to stay, and everything that relates to the trip.  That’s where the magic happens.
