How to Overcome A Tug-O-War Situation

As I walked into the small cubicle area, I chuckled. Yes, this was the demonic, absurdly rude and unhelpful immigration officer. This was the same lady that I saw spew craziness at another individual a few months earlier and told him to get out.

Boy, was I in for a monster.

I Betrayed Myself — LOL

A piece of paper, which I NEVER BROUGHT to extend my visa, was present. She glanced at it….then boom.

“You have to confirm you address again,” she said rudely.

“Ummmm, but ma’am, with all due respect, I’ve already done that.”

The officer shrugged her shoulders as if she didn’t care and began shuffling around the papers on her desk.

“I won’t speak,” she said.

“Excuse me. You have to help me. You’re not giving me a straight answer. What do I do now?”

“Go to information.”….before she rudely gave me my papers back.

Ahhh, reminisce of the time I came here 6 years ago. A vehement begin did almost the same thing, but at least some people were helpful.

How To Calm Down — look for options.

Ok, leave the country? Could, but it would be more expensive than just staying here for the morning/afternoon.

Get a contract and papers faxed, print them downstairs, sign a couple things, reconfirm an address, and then get the extension. Time “lost” (impossible because I have my macbook) — 3-4 hours. That’s working hours that I can actually get a lot of entrepreneurial stuff done.

It’s the brighter side of things. I was eating a spicy Thai dish at a broken food court downstairs and just trying to piece everything that had happened together. I started asking questions, really sophisticated ones, to myself. “If I leave every month, I have to confirm with a full contract every month? I’ve confirmed and have done this already?”

I asked the question, which was a brilliant one, and then she said, “oh, you can do it online. Talk to the lady inside!

So, as I’m sitting here typing this, I’m waiting for my number to be called and possibly get some good news. What can possibly happen? Lady does everything for me and I leave early. Worst thing? Well, wait until 2-2:30pm to leave with everything finished.

Future Occurrences

Veryyyyy important to look ahead. There officers, three cubicles, and 1 out of every 3 individuals will get the unlucky hand to deal with this beast — today was my unlucky hand (laughing at myself hysterically) because at the end of the day, everything will get sorted out!

The Conclusion

My old self would’ve went on a Twitter rant and talk about how BAD and ENTIRE COUNTRY is because of one individual.

The real me asks the real questions that will tap into why a human being is just so nasty and power hungry.

So, that’s how you can see, on my Wheel of Life podcast, where I’ve come from the beginning of my time.

Napoleon Hill – What Stands In The Way of Man Is Man

A man stepped into Napoleon Hill’s office one afternoon almost a hundred years ago and said, “excuse me, do you know the man who wrote this book?”  The book was called “self-confidence” and Napoleon Hill had written it, but he chose not to tell the man at the time.

“It must have been the hand of fate that slipped this book into my pocket yesterday afternoon, because I was about ready to go out there and punch a hole into Lake Michigan.  I had about come to the conclusion that everything and everybody, including god, had it in for me until I read this book, and it gave me a new viewpoint and brought me the courage and the hope that sustained my through the night.  I made up my mind that if I could see the man who wrote the book he could help me get on my feet again.  Now, I am here and I would like to know what can you do for a man like me?”

Napoleon Hill, at that specific moment, was evaluating that man from head-to-toe.  The lines of discouragement on his face, the posture of his body, ten days’ growth of beard on his face, and his nervous manner.

“I have listened to you with a great deal of interest, and I wish that there was something which I could do to help you, but there is absolutely nothing.”

The man’s face became pale.

“However, while there’s nothing I can do for you, there is a man in this building to whom I will introduce you, if you wish, who can help you regain your lost fortune and put you back on your feet again.”

The man jumped up and elatedly said, “for god’s sake lead me to this man!”

He took the man downstairs to his laboratory and lead him to a curtain.  After unveiling what was behind the curtain (a mirror), he pointed at the glass and said, “there stand the man to whom I promised to introduce you.  There is the only man in this world who can put you back on your feet again, and unless you sit down and become acquainted with that man, as you never became acquainted with him before, you might as well go over and punch a hole in Lake Michigan, because you will be of no value to yourself or to the world until you know this man better.

He dropped his head, wept, and left.

Napoleon Hill had no idea that he would see this man again until three days later – podcast (https://www.spreaker.com/episode/11719416)

But the moral of the story is we’re terrified of confronting….ourselves.  We’re terrified of getting in the mirror, in the face of US, and expressing ourselves.  The strength, power, and possible that lies formant inside of man is incredible, but a lot of us never discovers the value of self-reliance.

Jack Canfield -How Much, By When?

Bob Proctor once asked a gentleman during an interview more than 30 years old, “how much money do you want?”

He replied, “a lot?”

“That’s not measurable.  That’s not a number.  You’re not specific so the universe has no idea how much “a lot” is.”

To make sure a goal releases the power of your subconscious mind, it must meet two criteria: how much (some measurable quantity such as pages, pounds, dollars, square feet, points) and by when (a specific time or date).

“I will have a six pack.”  That’s not as measurable as “I will have a six pack by the end of the month.”

The time and date is the most important because giving that specific aspect of your goals lets just say expedites it.  Include every little details about the goal you want to achieve.  The color, size, features, etc.  The more vague you are, the more vague the results are.

Jack Canfield also held a seminar whereas this lady specifically said, “I want a lot of money.” So he (acting as a universe) gave her a dollar.  She said, “I want more.”  He gave her an extra quarter and said, “is this enough?”

“No.  I want more!”

“Well be more specific,” he said.

A Goal Versus A Good Idea

Here’s a few examples on how to engage your subconscious mind, a goal or objective.

  • Good Idea

I would like to own a nice home on the ocean.

I want to lose weight.

I need to treat my employees better.

  • Goal or Objective

I will own a condominium in Pattaya oceanside on the 37th floor just outside Jomtien beach.

I will lose 5 pounds by April 15th, 2017.

I will give 25$ bonuses to each employees at the end of the month when all tasks are met.  If they complete more than what they’re paid to do, I’ll add on a vacation day.

The specificity that comes along with goal setting needs to be vivid.  Example, if you want a home, write down the location, landscaping, furniture, artwork, sound system, floor plan.  If you don’t have an idea, go on houzz.com.  They have such a wide variety of perks for home decor.

When you write it all down, your subconscious mind will know what to work on.  It will know which opportunities to home in on to help you reach goal.

When you create your goals, be sure to write down some big ones that will stretch you and require you to grow to achieve them.  It’s a good thing to have some goals that make you a little uncomfortable.  Why?  Because the ultimate goal, in addition to achieving your material goals, is to become a master at life.  And to do this, you will need to learn new skills, expand your vision of what’s possible, build new relationships, and learn to overcome your fears, considerations, and roadblocks.
