New Morning Routine!

This has been a long time coming, but this absolutely super-charges my morning like no other morning has before!

It all starts with the evening though.  If I don’t have a successful evening and sleep after 9:30pm, it’ll throw a curveball at my mornings and I’ll have to take out one of the above, which could be detrimental.

Anywho, let’s get into these pictures.

MindValley Podcast

So, I’ve been a loyal follower of MindValley for the longest and absolutely love Vishen as a speaker.  He speaks so much truth and has written excellent books – all while creating a 300 person company that creates courses for people worldwide.  This is an amazing humanity + company; and in addition, they have a podcast!  The podcasts features some of the best speakers around the world and my absolute favorite, without any doubt, is Lisa Nichols.  The Lisa Nichols podcast on MindValley’s podcast is the one where she’s in Cancun giving a guided meditation.  This is the first thing I listen to upon waking up because I’m still in the “dream consciousness.”  If I can have incredible feelings, especially of Joy in that state, I set my soul on fire!.

Glenn Harold

Immediately following that, I love doing my guided meditation.  At this time, I’m hoping that I’m pretty much wide awake so I don’t fall back to sleep.  If I am, I can focus much more on the affirmations and guidance.  My favorite one for the mornings is the “Procrastination” one, because after the program is finished, I’m so focused with my morning tasks.  The ones I use to go to sleep are often Solfeggio, which is an ancient, 6-tone scale used in the recordings.

After that, I officially wake-up with my energy higher than ever because I’m focused on pure gratitude.  I then go to YouTube and put on a specific video whereas a man is stating affirmations over a 15-minute video.  I put this on my bose speaker and go into the kitchen to take some immune support, joint-support, and Thermobond (Herbalife) tablets.

I take a pre-workout (depends if I’m working out) and hop into the shower, giving grace to everything in my life.  This lasts from about 5:15am – 6am.  After that, I can tackle the world.

Just For Today…..

  1. Just for today I will be happy.  this assumes that what Abraham Lincoln said is true, that “most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”  Happiness is from within; it is not a matter of externals.
  2. Just for today I will try to adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything to my own desires.  I will take my family, my business, and my luck as they come and fit myself to them.
  3. Just for today I will take care of my body.  I will exercise it, care for it, nourish it, not abuse it nor neglect it, so that it will be a perfect machine for my bidding.
  4. Just for today I will try to strengthen my min.  I will learn something useful.  I will not be a mental loafer.  I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.
  5. Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways; I will do somebody a good turn and not get found out.  I will do at least two things I don’t want to do, as William James suggests, just for exercise.
  6. Just for today I will be agreeable.  I will look as well as I can, dress as becomingly as possible, talk low, act courteously, be liberal with praise, criticize not at all, nor find fault with anything and not try to regular nor improve anyone.
  7. Just for today I will try to live through this day only, not to tackle my whole life problem at once.  I can do things for twelve hours that would appall me if I had to keep them up for a lifetime.
  8. Just for today I will have a program.  I will write down what I expect to do every hours.  I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it.  It will eliminate two pests, hurrying and indecision.
  9. Just for today I will have a quiet half-hour all by myself to relax.
  10. Just for today I will be unafraid, especially I will not be afraid to be happy, to enjoy what is beautiful, to love, and to believe that those I love, love me.

Napoleon Hill – Imagination: Part 2

“If your imagination is the mirror of your soul, then you have a perfect right to stand before that mirror and see yourself as you wish to be.  You have the right to see reflected in that magic mirror the mansion you intend to own, the factory you intend to manage, the bank of which you intend to be president, the station in life you intend to occupy.  Your imagination belongs to you! Use it! The more you use it the more efficiently it will serve you.” – Napoleon Hill

A man of imagination went to a city long ago to make money out of real estate.  He got an option on a couple of hills that were unsuitable for real estate due to the steepness of them.  He also had another option on the ground that was unsuitable for use because of the back-water that covered it daily.  So, in the end, he secured both of the options for super cheap because the literal mind thought both didn’t have any substantial value.

However, with a few tons of explosives, he turned those steep hills into loose dirt.  With the aid of some tractors and road scrapers, he used the ground for beautiful building lots.  Also, with the help of cattle and livestock, he dumped the surplus of dirt on the low ground and raised it above the water level, thereby turning it into beautiful building lots.

He made a substantial fortune, for what?

For removing some dirt from where it was not needed to where it was needed! For mixing some useless dirt with imagination.

Another story would be a man purchasing land on top of a hill.  This man was dirt cheap and the owner of the land was selling it for little-to-nothing, just because the imagination with the man selling it wasn’t there.  So, this man, who barely had any money to his name, purchased that piece of land and built a log cabin that became very profitable because the view of both sides of the mountain.  Later, it turned into a half dozen.  Then, he built a minimart and a few other things to accompany it.  That man amassed a FORTUNE over just pennies by using his imagination.

If you properly use your imagination it will help you convert your failures and mistakes into assets of priceless value; it will lead you to discovery of a truth known only to those who use their imagination; namely, that the greatest reverses and misfortunes of life often open the door to golden opportunities.

You will never know what is your capacity for achievement until you learn how to mix your efforts with imagination.  The products of your hands, minus imagination, will yield you but a small return, but those selfsame hands, when properly guided by imagination, can be made to earn you all the material wealth you can use.

Life Begins At The End of Your Comfort Zone

Track & Field in high school

Those 200m, 300m, and 400m intervals that made me feel faint, dizzy, legs burning, and wanting to throw up after practice everyday were grueling.  As an athlete, these days, including heels and bleachers, are the days we dread.  The days I used to dread.  However, little did I know it was preparing me for getting out of my comfort zone.  This type of maniacal training after school on weekdays prepared us for the track meets, which we performed at such a high level.  If you look at any of the greatest athletes around the world, their working out regimen would make you hurt while watching it.  Usain Bolt’s regimen was unbelievable and often had him regurgitating practically everyday.  This is called “stepping out of that comfortability zone.”

Moved to Australia

I wish I can get back the lost time I had in Australia.  This was the most discomforting I’ve ever been because I was trying to be someone I wasn’t.  Because I have such a wonderful personality (haha), it was hard for me to acclimate in a society where not many people smile.  Is it because I was living in the CBD of Melbourne? Possibly, a blend of Chinese, Mauritian and French cultures is extremely difficult, which brings a mixture of personalities together that are completely different, but it also revolved around my physical environments.  My work places (dental offices) were tragically terrible (longest story ever) and my living situation was appalling to say the LEAST.  When I hauled over to Sydney for the remainder of the 9 months on my visa, it got probably a tad better, but I have to say I was uncomfortable the entire time.  On the other hand, this prepared me for Thailand.  Wonderful ol’ Thailand whereas if I didn’t live in a foreign country before Thailand, I would’ve given up quickly because of the animosity dished out towards me.  I’m glad Australia prepared me for the madness within these borders.

Thailand boosted my uncomfortability to unspeakable heights.

If you want to become successful, you’re going to have to put yourself in a very uncomfortable situation.  Am I talking moving to Asia as an African American or moving to South America as a Caucasian? No.  Do the thing you’re afraid to do. Period.

Living here in Thailand is basically living in a ball of hate for me.  The ignorance I receive on a daily basis is jaw dropping and that’s me being honest.  The rewards on the other side, however, is blissful.  It’s freedom.  The story I’ve created being here has inspired the masses around the world.  I’m saying to you today that life doesn’t begin until you test yourself in deep waters.  It’s like jumping into the deep-end, which I did when I was young, and almost drowned.  Yes, my pseudo-cousin said I wouldn’t die, but I got really close to dying; thus why peer pressure was never a problem for me.  When you’re way in over your head, the light will be above you.  You may not notice it, but through all the thick-and-thin, problems, transgressions, and a variety of other things that will come forth….just know that those are questions that will be answered by you.  Only you can go through this.  No one else can.

I’m grateful for everything I’ve experienced in my life because it prepared me for where I am today.
